Interior Secretary Travels to Southwestern States

Meets with Tribal leaders, and inter-department agencies.

Interior Secretary David Bernhardt traveled to New Mexico and Arizona last week to meet with various stakeholders to undertake the department-wide project of “restoring access to America’s public lands.” During his travels, he met with Tribal leaders, National Park Service members, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

During his meetings with Tribal leaders from the Navajo Nation and the All Pueblo Board of Governors, Secretary Bernhardt discussed ways to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in Native American lands. While visiting Petroglyph National Monument in New Mexico, and the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, he praised the efforts of the National Park Service to provide areas for people to safely visit in the mindset of the pandemic.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would use Secretary Bernhardt to benefit Americans with the access to federal lands.
  • For the actions of the Interior Department to limit the spread of the virus.
  • For the National Park Service to be used by God to steward His creation.
